Last weekend, I attended TechWave Fest, a digital technology festival held on the Austin waterfront. It was a true immersion into the world of innovation: booths from VR startups, AR solution demos, hackathons, and hands-on drone workshops featuring 4K video production.
I was impressed by the variety of startups — from interactive interfaces to smart home solutions. What stood out most was how attendees engaged with live content: it felt like virtual reality literally came to life in the hands of the audience.
One of the highlights for me was a booth showcasing the use of game engagement mechanics — reminiscent of approaches seen in projects like Lucky Jet — applied to non-financial applications. It demonstrated how game patterns are increasingly being integrated into business and marketing.
For me, the festival became a real source of inspiration. I came away full of ideas for using AR visuals, interactive documentation, and strategies to retain audiences through dynamic and captivating content.
